StaffMe.net Receives Extension to Mentor-Protégé Agreement
Knoxville, Tenn., (October 6, 2008) - StaffMe.net, LLC and its network of divisions, has announced it has received two additional years to the Mentor-Protégé Agreement with Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU).
On September 25, ORAU confirmed its satisfaction with the achievements of StaffMe.Net and recommended an extension to the existing Mentor-Protégé Agreement. Excellence in service was highlighted in the announcement of the extension to the Agreement, which provides a variety of continued specialty services.
The Agreement continues under the original approval by the Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU). Under these provisions, the Mentor can enter into integrated working agreements and provide non-financial developmental assistance to the Protégé, to enhance business, technical and other capabilities as a viable subcontractor in accomplishing the Mentor's mission as a prime contractor for DOE under the prime contract through which the Mentor manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). With businesses utilizing this agreement, they may use StaffMe.net to purchase goods and services up to $5 million with a single source justification.
The extension of this Agreement is extended from September 30, 2008 to September 30, 2010. ORAU will continue to encourage and assist StaffMe.net in its further development as a preferred source for other government agencies and prime contractors as well as private industry.
ORAU is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 99 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy.
“It is a great opportunity for StaffMe.net to continue expanding our relationship with ORAU,” said StaffMe.net President and Owner Terri L. Gingrich. “StaffMe.net continues to be committed to delivering quality products and services that are satisfying and functional, and that provides a return on our clients’ investment. Furthermore, this agreement will continue to assist StaffMe.net with program management processes and procedures, documentation formatting and the development of Company infrastructure elements that supports growth initiatives.”
